Our pro bono work accounts for approximately 10-15 percent of our yearly instructional volume. As our company has grown and our connections have multiplied, we have intensified our effort to recruit students who do not have the financial means to afford high quality test preparation.
In September 2018, we launched a cost-free program for sophomores who attend seven different high schools throughout New York City. Run in partnership with the St. Ignatius School in the Bronx, our College Pathways program targets motivated students whose families would not otherwise be able to afford a comprehensive college preparation program. During Year 1 of the program, we work with students on a comprehensive SAT curriculum in preparation for the summer and fall exams. Year 2 features continued test preparation, resume/application tips, and some college visits. Year 3 involves final college application guidance and support through the duration of the admissions process.
As of April 2020, College Pathways includes 15 juniors in Year 2 and 11 sophomores in Year 1. Our 26 scholars attend 13 high schools throughout NYC. We welcome inquiries about our College Pathways program from potential community partners and clients.
PARTIAL, MAJORITY, AND FULL SCHOLARSHIPS
We reserve Partial (1/3), Majority (2/3), and Full scholarship spots in our Small Classes and Individual Tutoring programs for students whose families cannot otherwise afford our program.
Over the years, we have partnered with local community organizations to host free small group workshops. We welcome the opportunity to find new local partners.
